Algeria is once again at the forefront of regional efforts in sustainable development, hosting the 21st International Exhibition of Water and Environment Equipment, Technologies, and Services (SIEE Pollutec) from June 1st to 4th, 2026, at the SAFEX Exhibition Palace in Algiers. This premier event underscores Algeria's commitment to addressing critical challenges in water security and environmental management, drawing significant international attention and participation.

Inaugurated by Mr. Lounès Bouzegza, Minister of Water Resources, the exhibition brings together over 170 exhibitors from 16 countries and anticipates welcoming nearly 10,000 professional visitors. The Minister emphasized the strategic importance of water security and sustainable resource management, especially given the escalating global climate and environmental challenges. SIEE Pollutec, a well-established platform since 2005, serves as a crucial hub for networking, innovation, and fostering partnerships among public, private, and institutional stakeholders dedicated to ecological transition.
The 2026 edition distinguishes itself with robust Algerian participation, accounting for nearly 70% of exhibitors. These national enterprises are joined by a diverse array of international operators from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa. Notable participating countries include Germany, Saudi Arabia, China, Egypt, Spain, France, India, Italy, Jordan, the Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Czechia, Tunisia, and Turkey.
Key industry players are actively supporting the event, with the National Oil Major Works Company (ENGTP) as a Platinum Sponsor, and Equatorial Coca-Cola Bottling Company, alongside Manbaâ mineral water (from Tahraoui Group), sponsoring the startup area. Holcim El-Djazair and BNP Paribas El Djazair are also supporting the forums. Beyond the expansive exhibition, SIEE Pollutec 2026 features a comprehensive program of conferences, forums, and technical meetings. Discussions will delve into vital topics such as seawater and brackish water desalination, the reuse of treated wastewater in agriculture, circular economy principles in industry, green finance, coastal preservation, and combating marine water pollution.
