Algeria and Gabon Forge Stronger Bonds Through Enhanced Diplomatic and Economic Cooperation

Algeria and Gabon are deepening their long-standing diplomatic and economic relationship, built on a foundation of profound friendship, mutual respect, and a shared vision for African solidarity. The Ambassador of Gabon to Algeria, Marie Rosine Mimi Atsana, emphasized this robust connection following her presentation of credentials to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

Algeria Gabon relations

"The diplomatic relations between Algeria and Gabon date back to 1973, and are founded on deep friendship, mutual respect, and a shared vision of what African solidarity should entail," Ambassador Atsana stated. She noted that this friendship has strengthened over the decades, leading to a shared commitment to bolster economic and trade exchanges for the development of both nations.

To facilitate this growth, concrete institutional foundations have been laid, including the establishment of an Algerian-Gabonese Business Council and a signed protocol between the investment promotion agencies of both countries. Furthermore, the upcoming launch of a direct air route between Algiers and Libreville, scheduled for June 16th, is seen as more than a technical achievement. Ambassador Atsana described it as a tangible embodiment of a shared ambition and a firm mutual desire to bring the peoples of Algeria and Gabon closer together.
