The Indian conglomerate has expressed keen interest in establishing a major industrial complex in Algeria dedicated to manufacturing steel pipes of various diameters and dimensions, the Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion (AAPI) confirmed recently.

The interest was formally articulated during a high-level meeting at the AAPI headquarters. Omar Rekkache, Director General of AAPI, hosted a delegation led by Prithavi Raj Jindal, Chairman of Jindal SAW, with India's Ambassador to Algeria, Swati Vijay Kulkarni, also in attendance alongside several company officials.
During the productive session, the Indian delegation presented an overview of the proposed project, detailing its objective to establish a cutting-edge industrial facility. This complex aims to address the growing demands of Algeria's national market and significantly bolster vital processing industries, particularly those linked to the energy, water resources, and infrastructure sectors.
