Jordanian Internationals Join Algerian Ligue 1 Clubs

The Algerian football championship is experiencing an unprecedented summer with the arrival of three international players from Jordan. This marks a historic moment for the league, as no Jordanian footballers had previously competed in Algeria, signalling a new phase of international engagement for Algerian clubs.

The new wave of talent began with defender Hadi Al-Hourani, who became the first Jordanian to officially join the Algerian league after signing with ES Sétif following the conclusion of his contract with Al-Faisaly. Shortly after, his compatriot, offensive midfielder Youssef Abou Jalboush, also known as "Sisa," chose to join ES Sétif. Abou Jalboush notably prioritized the move to Algeria alongside Al-Hourani, despite receiving significant offers from clubs such as Al-Faisaly and Al-Hussein Irbid, which included a reported offer of $400,000.

Completing this trio, 22-year-old winger Ali Azaizeh recently joined Mouloudia d’Alger on loan. The collective arrival of these three players confirms a significant new connection between Jordanian and Algerian football, fostering cultural exchange and enhancing the international profile of Algeria's top-tier league.
