Montreal-Algiers Route Enhanced by Air Algérie

Air Algérie is reinforcing its rotations on the Montreal-Algiers transatlantic route, establishing itself as the sole airline providing direct flights between Canada and Algeria. This strategic move follows Air Canada's decision to extend the suspension of its Montreal-Algiers service, which was initially announced last April due to increased aviation fuel prices and later removed from its provisional schedule through summer 2027.

The national carrier is set to maintain its service to Montreal-Trudeau Airport with a frequency of seven weekly flights. These daily connections from Houari-Boumédiène International Airport in Algiers are facilitated by Air Algérie's new-generation Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, which is configured to carry 308 passengers per flight.

Air Algérie currently operates a fleet of five Airbus A330-900neo aircraft. These modern, high-capacity planes are deployed on the airline's long-haul routes, supporting the company's efforts to expand its international network.
