Foreign Ministry Denounces Drone Attack on Holy City of Mecca

Algeria has firmly condemned a hostile drone attack that targeted the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia. The Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the operation as an "act of aggression of extreme gravity," highlighting that such an act constitutes a flagrant violation of the sanctity of Allah's Sacred House and a deliberate provocation to the sentiments of Muslims worldwide. This condemnation underscores Algeria's commitment to upholding the sacredness of religious sites and promoting regional stability.

In response to this incident, Algeria has reiterated its unwavering support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The nation affirmed its full backing for Saudi Arabia in its efforts to protect Muslim holy sites and its entire territory. Furthermore, Algeria expressed its support for all measures that the Kingdom deems appropriate to guarantee its security and stability and to preserve its national sovereignty, reinforcing bilateral solidarity in facing security threats.

The Algerian diplomacy also renewed its urgent call for the immediate cessation of these attacks and all forms of military escalation and provocation in the region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned that the continuation of such provocations would only exacerbate the current tensions and instability, potentially exposing the Middle East to dangerous security repercussions. This stance reflects Algeria's consistent advocacy for de-escalation and peaceful resolutions to prevent further regional complications.
