CNESE, Palestinian Counterpart Sign Cooperation Pact

Algeria's National Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CNESE) and its Palestinian counterpart have formally entered into a bilateral cooperation agreement, signed recently at the CNESE headquarters in Algiers. The accord aims to deepen the strategic partnership between Algeria and Palestine by expanding coordination and facilitating the exchange of expertise in economic, social, and environmental domains. The signing ceremony involved Professor Mohamed Boukhari, President of the Algerian CNESE, and Ahmed Majdalani, President of the Palestinian council.

This agreement is designed to open new avenues for flexible operational mechanisms, translating the shared will of both parties into practical programs and projects. Its objectives include achieving added value and reinforcing opportunities for cooperation, ultimately serving as a practical framework for fruitful and sustainable joint work that benefits both nations. Discussions during the meeting also explored common visions and promising initiatives aimed at enhancing the work of Arab economic and social councils, with both parties emphasizing the importance of activating joint Arab action, unifying efforts, and ensuring coordination among these bodies.

Professor Boukhari underscored the agreement's significance as a "major step" toward implementing practical programs and projects that will deliver tangible benefits and enhance collaborative opportunities between Algeria and Palestine. Mr. Majdalani, for his part, expressed gratitude to Algeria's leadership, people, and the CNESE, acknowledging the long-standing cooperation and partnership. He emphasized that the agreement solidifies a sustained period of joint work and establishes an institutional foundation for developing various forms of cooperation, particularly in expertise exchange, training, and regional as well as international Arab cooperation.
