Tashkent – The Algerian national judo team (seniors) secured three medals—gold, silver, and bronze—on the first day of the 42nd edition of the Military World Championship, currently taking place in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, from October 14 to 20. This achievement was confirmed on Thursday by the Algerian Judo Federation.
According to the federation, the gold medal was won by Kaïs Moudather in the under-66 kg category. Meanwhile, his teammate Driss Masoud earned a silver medal in the under-73 kg category, and Ayoub Ben Laribi added a bronze medal, also in the under-66 kg category.
More than 400 athletes from 30 countries are participating in this prestigious military competition, which is organized by the International Military Sports Council (CISM) in collaboration with the Uzbek Judo Federation.
