Central Army Security Welcomes New Director General Maash

General Saïd Chengriha, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army and Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense, recently presided over the official installation ceremony for General Nourredine Maash. General Maash has assumed the vital role of Central Director of Army Security, succeeding General Abbas Ibrahim. This significant appointment was made in the name of the President of the Republic, who serves as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, in accordance with a presidential decree issued on September 22, 2026.

During the ceremony, General Chengriha affirmed the appointment, stating that General Maash was officially installed as Central Director of Army Security. He emphasized the importance for all personnel to operate under General Maash's authority, obey his directives, and execute his instructions, prioritizing service interests. This adherence is crucial for upholding the military rules and regulations currently in force, adhering to the laws of the Republic, honoring the sacrifices of Algeria's martyrs, and perpetuating the values of the glorious Revolution.

On this occasion, General Chengriha issued a comprehensive set of instructions and directives to the directorate's executives. These guidelines underscored the necessity of sustained diligent effort and essential perseverance in fulfilling assigned missions with the utmost rigor. Following the installation, General Chengriha also oversaw the validation of the official handover and takeover report, ensuring a smooth transition of responsibilities within the critical Central Directorate of Army Security.
