25-Truck Convoy Sends Algerian Goods from Adrar to Niger

An export convoy, comprising 25 heavy-duty trucks and approximately 1,050 tonnes of Algerian goods, recently departed from the province of Adrar destined for Niger. Nine Algerian economic operators participated in this shipment, which included domestically produced items such as dried dates, various packaging materials, detergents and cleaning products, and salt.

This operation was launched as part of National Export Day, an initiative organized by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior and Local Authorities. The objective behind such ventures is to encourage Algerian economic operators to leverage exports as a means of adding value to domestic production, diversifying commercial outlets, and strengthening trade relations with neighboring African nations.

The provincial trade directorate, in coordination with the Adrar divisional customs inspectorate and under the direct supervision of local authorities, initiated and oversaw the operation. Local officials received briefings on the various stages and procedures governing the commercial shipment during the convoy’s launch ceremony. This successful dispatch is anticipated to be followed by further export operations of a similar nature in the near future, indicating a sustained commitment to these trade expansion efforts.
