AI-Powered Tool Supports Algerian Banks' Three-Year Plans

Algerian banks are now leveraging artificial intelligence to develop their three-year strategic plans, utilizing the new ABIX Data Explorer platform. This innovative offering, presented as a new feature by ABIX, was launched in mid-September 2026 by Tadjeddine & Partners. The platform is designed to assist financial institutions in preparing comprehensive strategic documents and monitoring their performance within the market.

The AI functionality primarily aids in drafting, automatically generating framework texts and up to 30 sections of a strategic report. It also provides three “regulator's eye” reviews and can refine existing sections, in addition to pre-filling documents using files provided by the banks. While the AI focuses on textual composition, numerical forecasts are generated by a separate calculation engine, which banks can use independently and without cost to develop three distinct scenarios: central, ambitious, and unfavorable, based on their chosen hypotheses. The final strategic plan undergoes approval by the General Directorate and subsequent validation by the Board of Directors.

This advanced module is part of the Corporate Executive Pack, accessible to subscribing banks. Rachid Sekak, a co-author of the ABIX study, confirmed in late September that several banks, which he did not name, were already engaging with the platform to formulate their strategies and track performance. Banks are required to provide explicit consent before their data is processed by the AI provider, retaining full responsibility for their data and the ultimate approval of their strategic plans. ABIX clarifies that validation within the tool does not supersede regulatory approval, and its analyses are not intended as prudential ratings or credit scores.
