General Chengriha Stresses Unity, Army Readiness Against Hybrid Wars

On the eve of the 72nd anniversary of the glorious Liberation Revolution, General Said Chengriha, Chief of Staff of the National People's Army and Deputy Minister of National Defense, emphasized the sacred duty to safeguard the legacy of the martyrs and fulfill their aspirations for a robust nation. He called for accelerated efforts to realize Algeria's strategic national development goals, particularly through the continuous enhancement of the armed forces' operational efficiency and the adaptation of their performance to contemporary warfare requirements and evolving operational theaters.

General Chengriha affirmed that Algeria is confronting "hybrid wars," which manifest as misleading media campaigns, fake news, manipulation of facts, and subversive efforts designed to disrupt and cast doubt on the country's achievements. He explicitly stated that recent fires in central and eastern regions were not merely natural disasters but were conclusively proven to be part of a series of conspiracies by Algeria's adversaries aimed at hindering its progress and depleting its resources.

Highlighting the resilience of the Algerian people, General Chengriha noted their success in demonstrating an eternal national epic through solidarity and cohesion during these challenges. He underscored that the unity displayed by youth, military personnel, civil protection agents, and various security services serves as irrefutable proof that national unity is a deeply rooted reality within the Algerian consciousness, stronger than any conspiracies or intrigues. The General reaffirmed the National People's Army's unwavering commitment to the values for which the Algerian people sacrificed, urging army members to uphold honesty, sincerity, and selflessness in protecting Algeria's sovereignty, territorial and popular unity, and republican values.
