Al-Azhar Academy Welcomes New Algerian Imams for Training
The eighth cohort of Algerian imams has departed for Egypt to participate in a specialized training course at Al-Azhar International Academy, reflecting ongoing bilateral cooperation in religious affairs.

The eighth batch of Algerian imams recently departed from Houari Boumediene International Airport in Algiers, bound for the Arab Republic of Egypt. These imams will participate in a specialized training course organized by Al-Azhar International Academy, an institution affiliated with the Islamic Research Complex.
This initiative is part of an active cooperation agreement between Algeria and Egypt, specifically in the domain of religious affairs and endowments. The agreement stems from the outcomes of the eighth session of the Algerian-Egyptian Joint Higher Committee, highlighting a shared commitment to developing religious institutions and practices.
The training program aims to enhance the scientific qualification and professional development of Algerian imams. By leveraging the scientific expertise and comprehensive training experience offered by Al-Azhar, the program seeks to elevate religious competencies, improve the standard of religious guidance, and expand the exchange of knowledge and experience between the two nations.
