The General Directorate of National Domain (DGDN) launched a new version of its Fadaeldjazair geoportal on November 1, an initiative to modernize public services. This updated platform, building on an initial launch in March 2024, provides citizens and professionals with remote access to a wide array of land and cadastral documents, facilitating administrative procedures and enhancing efficiency. The launch coincides with the 72nd anniversary of November 1st, marking a significant step in digitalizing national services.
The Fadaeldjazair geoportal is underpinned by a unified and centralized database, which has integrated over 27 million documents from 217 land conservations and digitized more than 14 million properties. Users can now request essential documents such as land booklets, negative certificates, copies of published acts, and various cadastral extracts online, eliminating the need for physical travel to offices. The platform also enables online tracking of application progress, significantly reducing the waiting period for some documents from a month to just minutes.
Further enhancing its utility, the new version of the geoportal includes a map of proximity equipment, detailing locations of schools, hospitals, mosques, and airports around a given property, along with estimated distances and travel times. This feature offers valuable insights for potential buyers and families assessing property environments. Account creation, verified via the National Identification Number, is required for access, and secure online payments for stamp duties and cadastral fees are processed through the national SATIM gateway, supporting Carte Edahabia and interbank cards. Upon successful payment, a downloadable attestation with a QR code is immediately generated. The DGDN also plans to introduce an electronic land booklet in the future, intended to replace the current paper format.
