New Organ Transplant Unit Enhances Batna Medical Services
Batna University Hospital has officially opened an organ transplant unit, significantly advancing Algeria's medical sector and offering new therapeutic options to patients.

Batna University Hospital, officially known as CHU Benflis Touhami de Batna, has inaugurated a new unit entirely dedicated to organ transplantation. The opening, which took place this Saturday, coincides with the festivities commemorating the 72nd anniversary of the National Liberation Revolution. This development marks a significant step forward in the modernization of the hospital's technical facilities and broader medical capabilities within Algeria.
The specialized center is expected to offer new therapeutic perspectives for patients in the region, responding to a dual health requirement. By integrating organ transplantation into its range of services, the Batna University Hospital aims to develop high-precision medical provisions directly within the Batna wilaya, thereby transforming the care pathway for patients awaiting transplantation.
This enhancement of medical services is anticipated to optimize local clinical care and elevate hospital quality standards across the entire Eastern Algerian region. The official opening ceremony saw the presence of a delegation led by the Secretary-General of the Batna wilaya, Youcef Bechlaoui, acting on behalf of the wali, according to information from the wilaya's services.
