A financing agreement has been signed for the Djen Djen port in Jijel, aimed at supporting strategic investment and development projects. This initiative, overseen by Serport CEO Ali Boularas, seeks to modernize the port infrastructure and boost its operational efficiency.

Ali Boularas, CEO of Serport Group, recently visited the Djen Djen port in Jijel province to monitor the execution of strategic investment projects and explore avenues for its development and infrastructure modernization. This visit, undertaken in line with directives from the Minister of Transport, Said Sayoud, aimed to enhance the national port system's performance and accelerate investment programs for port infrastructure development. During the visit, Mr. Boularas, alongside Walid Bougous, Director General of Djen Djen Port, and other officials, oversaw the signing of a financing agreement.
The newly signed financing agreement is specifically allocated to implement a series of strategic investment and development projects at Djen Djen port. This initiative reflects Serport Group's commitment to supporting the port's modernization and development plans by mobilizing essential financial resources. These structural projects are designed to bolster the port's capacity, improve cargo flow, and enhance its operational and logistical efficiency, thereby ensuring more effective and competitive services for economic operators.
This step underscores Serport Group's confidence in the promising potential of Djen Djen port, recognizing its role as a strategic hub capable of driving trade, supporting economic and industrial ventures, and boosting national exports outside the hydrocarbon sector. The visit and its tangible outcomes signify a transition from planning to field implementation of investments, aligning with a comprehensive development vision. The goal is to establish Djen Djen as a modern and competitive port and logistics platform, prepared to address future economic challenges, and to further integrate Algerian ports within national transport and logistics networks, ultimately supporting the national economy and its diversification.
