Sixty-One Cameroonian Scholars Join Algerian Universities
Algeria has welcomed a second group of 61 Cameroonian students, arriving at Houari Boumediene International Airport. This initiative aims to strengthen university cooperation and academic exchange with friendly nations.
Algeria recently welcomed a second cohort of 61 students from the Republic of Cameroon, who arrived at Houari Boumediene International Airport in Algiers. This reception underscores Algeria's commitment to enhancing university cooperation and academic exchange with friendly and sister nations. The initiative is a direct implementation of international cooperation programs in higher education, specifically focusing on scholarships offered to international students for their studies in Algerian universities, and aligns with directives from the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as the Director General of the National Office of University Services.
The students were officially greeted by representatives from the National Office of University Services, the Directorate of Student Life, and the Directorate of University Cooperation and Exchange from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Officials from the Embassy of the Republic of Cameroon in Algeria were also present for the reception. Following their arrival, the students were transported to the Baia Hussein University Residence, where comprehensive arrangements for their comfort, including suitable rest facilities, hospitality, and breakfast, were provided, ensuring their well-being from the moment they entered the country.
These Cameroonian scholars are set to join various university institutions across Algeria, matching their assigned specializations and academic pathways. The accompanying services will facilitate their administrative procedures and enrollment in their respective courses. This continuous effort by Algeria's higher education sector, in collaboration with the National Office of University Services, aims to strengthen international university cooperation and solidify Algeria's standing as a distinguished scientific and educational destination, dedicated to offering optimal conditions and support for its international student community throughout their academic journey.
