Industry Minister Receives TIRSAM Delegation, Discusses Expansion into Passenger Cars

Industry Minister Prof. Farid Kourtel received a delegation from TIRSAM, a company operating in the manufacturing of vehicles and industrial and agricultural equipment, at the ministry’s headquarters today, Saturday, October 24, 2026.
The meeting was devoted to assessing the progress of the company’s current investment project and the local integration rate achieved. The two sides also discussed the possibility of expanding the project to include passenger car production, or launching a new, independent investment project in this field.
In this context, the company is negotiating with global manufacturers with the aim of establishing a partnership to develop an integrated passenger car industry.
On the occasion, the Minister stressed the importance of increasing the local integration rate and strengthening the national subcontracting network, in order to support national industry and help reduce the import bill.
