Madrid Chamber to Host Forum on Algerian Investment Opportunities

Spanish business leaders are increasingly targeting the Algerian market for investment opportunities, driven by Algeria's substantial public investments in basic infrastructure and the exploitation of mining deposits. This renewed interest follows a period of political crisis between the two countries, highlighting Algeria's ongoing efforts to diversify its economy and modernize its industry. The nation's geographical proximity to Spain further enhances its appeal as an attractive destination for foreign capital.

The Madrid Chamber of Commerce is organizing a business forum on October 14 to explore these opportunities, recognizing Algeria as a "key market" due to its public investments and economic diversification. The event, to be held in Madrid, will feature experts from the Spanish Commercial Bureau in Algiers, Aresbank, Naturgy, and Air Algérie, aiming to provide a practical guide for Spanish exporters and investors. These experts will cover institutional perspectives, market conditions, financing operations, and logistics essential for secure and efficient supply chains.

Algeria is positioned as a "strategic market" for the internationalization of Spanish companies, with several sectors identified as particularly promising. These include infrastructure, energy, agri-food, transport, logistics, and business services. The country's remarkable capacity for public investment, combined with its economic diversification and industrial modernization processes, continues to open numerous prospects for Spanish enterprises.
