Professor Boukhari Joins Waste Recovery Exhibition in Algiers

The 10th International Exhibition of Waste Recovery and Valorization, known as REVADE 2026, commenced on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at the Exhibition Palace in Algiers. Professor Mohamed BOUKHARI, President of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CNESE), participated in the opening ceremony of this significant event. Organized under the patronage of Ms. Kaouter KRIKOU, the Minister of Environment and Quality of Life, the exhibition focused on the theme “Sustainable Circular Economy: Issues and Perspectives,” underscoring Algeria's commitment to environmental initiatives.

The Sultanate of Oman was honored as the guest country for this edition, with its Environment Authority President, Dr. Abdallah ben Ali AL AMRI, representing it at the ceremony. The opening also saw the attendance of numerous officials, experts, representatives from economic organizations, and various national and international partners, reflecting the exhibition's broad appeal. The CNESE maintained a dedicated stand at the event, showcasing its latest studies and periodic reports. These publications specifically addressed emerging economic, social, and environmental challenges, as well as critical issues related to sustainable development.

Through its presence, the CNESE fostered exchanges with economic actors, social partners, and experts present at the exhibition. This active involvement demonstrates the Council's sustained interest in matters concerning the circular economy and waste valorization. By contributing to the sharing of experiences and facilitating discussions on pathways towards a more sustainable development model, Algeria, through the CNESE, reinforces its proactive role in addressing environmental sustainability and promoting a circular economy.
