Sidi Bel Abbès University, Tuscia Partner on Agriculture Degree

The University Djillali Liabès of Sidi Bel Abbès has finalized a cooperation and partnership agreement with Italy's University of Tuscia. This accord focuses on training and scientific research in precision and digital agriculture, alongside strengthening academic mobility and the exchange of expertise between researchers and students. The agreement was formally signed at the University of Tuscia by Amina Khaldi, Director of the Institute of Agronomic Sciences at Djillali Liabès University, acting on behalf of Rector Bouziani Merahi, and by Tiziana Laureti, Rector of the University of Tuscia.
A key component of this partnership is the preparation and launch of a joint academic training program, leading to a double degree awarded by both institutions. This program will specifically cover the specializations of precision agriculture and digital agriculture, reflecting the evolving technological landscape within the agricultural sector. The collaboration underscores both universities' commitment to advancing scientific and academic cooperation in these critical areas.
Beyond the double degree, the convention also provides for expanded mobility and academic exchange programs for students and faculty researchers, aiming to foster knowledge sharing and expertise. This initiative is expected to open new avenues for scientific collaboration between Algerian and Italian academic competencies. Furthermore, the agreement outlines the implementation of joint research projects and the organization of conferences and scientific events, designed to facilitate the exchange of experiences and discussions on topics related to agriculture and the adoption of digital and technological solutions in the field.
