Algerian Court of Accounts Publishes Its 2024 Annual Report

Algiers – The Court of Accounts announced on Sunday the release of its 2024 Annual Report, in accordance with Article 199 of the Constitution. This was stated in a press release issued by the institution.

Prepared in line with Ordinance No. 95-20 of July 17, 1995, concerning the Court of Accounts, as amended and supplemented, the report details the results of oversight activities carried out under the court’s annual monitoring program. It includes key findings, recommendations, and responses from officials, legal representatives, and relevant supervisory authorities. These responses were collected following proper procedural hearings, ensuring adherence to fair process.

According to the statement, the findings and evaluations presented in the report aim to promote sound governance and effective management in the use of public resources by entities under the court’s oversight.

The report is structured into four main chapters:

  1. State Administrations
  2. Local Governments
  3. Public Services and Institutions
  4. Resource Utilization and Activities of the Court, including international cooperation efforts and knowledge exchange with peer oversight bodies.

In total, the 2024 report contains 14 briefing notes and 36 recommendations, designed to enhance efficiency and accountability. The full report is accessible on the official website of the Court of Accounts.
