Algeria’s “Tonic Industrie,” a subsidiary of the public group “ACS” (Chemical Specialties Holding Company), successfully carried out its first export operation to Mauritania on Wednesday, shipping over 95,000 corrugated cardboard boxes.
According to a statement by ACS, “Tonic Industrie shipped 95,250 units of corrugated cardboard boxes as part of its initial foray into the Mauritanian market.” The company further announced plans for additional exports to Mauritania in 2025.
Strategic Agreements Following Trade Fair
This milestone follows ACS’s participation in the recent Algerian Products Exhibition held in Nouakchott from May 2 to 7. During the event, ACS and its subsidiaries forged agreements to distribute their products in Mauritania. They also established key connections with Mauritanian industrialists and entrepreneurs, paving the way for future collaborations.
Additionally, a Mauritanian delegation recently visited Tonic Industrie’s facilities and expressed their admiration for the quality of the company’s products. Both parties agreed to strengthen their partnership in the upcoming year.
Expanding Algerian Exports
The statement also highlighted ACS’s broader export activities. In November, another ACS subsidiary, the National Paint Company (ENAP), exported 16 tons of semi-finished and finished paint products to Mauritania.
These export initiatives are part of Algeria’s broader strategy to enhance economic ties with neighboring markets and expand the footprint of Algerian-made products across the region.
