Algiers – By order of President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, arrived in Cairo on Monday evening to represent Algeria in the extraordinary session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This extraordinary summit, scheduled for Tuesday, March 4, will focus on discussing developments related to the Palestinian issue amidst existential threats and dangers, particularly in the context of post-Gaza aggression arrangements, as stated in the same statement.
The statement added that the summit is expected to result in the adoption of an Arab plan for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip. Additionally, the summit is anticipated to approve a political statement outlining the Arab common position on the latest developments in the Palestinian issue and the efforts to achieve a just, lasting, and comprehensive resolution to the Israeli-Arab conflict, which would ensure the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state. This is considered essential for achieving peace and stability in the Middle East.
