President Abdelmadjid Tebboune was honored today Sunday by the National Olympic Committees Association of Africa with the Gold Medal for Olympic and African Sporting Merit, which is awarded to leaders of countries that make significant contributions to the development of sports and the sporting environment on the continent.
This honor comes in recognition of the efforts President Tebboune has made to support national and continental sports. This award reflects the special appreciation of Algeria’s role in supporting the African Olympic movement and enhancing sports cooperation between African countries.
The ceremony was attended by Director of the Presidential Office, Mr. Boualem Boualem, Minister of Sports, Mr. Walid Sadi, and President of the Algerian Olympic Committee, Mr. Abdelrahman Hamad.
This medal is not only a personal honor for President Tebboune but also an acknowledgment of Algeria’s significant role in supporting and developing sports, highlighting the country’s prominent position on the African sports scene.
