Algiers – The Minister of State and Minister of Energy, Mines, and Renewable Energies, Mohamed Arkab, will conduct a working visit to Beshar province on Monday. During his visit, he will launch several strategic energy projects, according to a statement released today Sunday by the ministry.
The statement indicated that Minister Arkab will lay the foundation stone for a photovoltaic solar power station project, part of efforts to boost electricity production from renewable energy sources.
He will also inspect completed projects in the field of connecting agricultural estates to the electricity grid, as well as visit sites allocated for investment projects and infrastructure in the mining sector, aiming to support local development and create new job opportunities.
Minister Arkab will preside over a meeting to discuss development programs in the fields of energy and mines at the provincial level, in the presence of local officials and sector representatives, according to the statement.
Accompanying the Minister of State during this visit are the State Secretary in charge of Mines, Krima Taffer, the Managing Director of Sonelgaz Group, Mourad Adjahl, and the Managing Director of Sonarhaim Group, Belkacem Saltani, along with senior officials from the ministry and relevant energy institutions.
This visit is part of ongoing field monitoring of energy and development projects aimed at improving services and boosting economic activity in Beshar province, according to the statement.
