Dr. Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al Jasser, President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, affirmed during his reception on Sunday by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune that Algeria is one of the bank’s key supporters, reiterating the group’s commitment to aiding the country’s economic development.

Speaking after the meeting, Al Jasser said, “Algeria, a founding member and major supporter of the IsDB, obliges us to be present here and do all we can to accelerate its economic development.” He expressed deep gratitude to President Tebboune for “his detailed explanation of Algeria’s economic progress, which warmed my heart with the determination and ambition reflected in its medium- and long-term development programs.”

Regarding the bank’s annual meetings, scheduled for May 19–22 in Algeria, Al Jasser expressed satisfaction with the preparations, stating, “The President reassured me he will personally inaugurate the meetings, gathering finance and economy ministers and central bank governors from 57 member states to discuss economic challenges and plans to accelerate development.” He added, “I’m here today and tomorrow to meet the Finance Minister and IsDB Governor Abdelkrim Boualzard to finalize arrangements, ensuring the event reflects Algeria’s greatness and the bank’s stature while attracting future investments.”

Al Jasser praised Algeria’s achievements and looked forward to returning in May to witness “new accomplishments in fields like railways, which the President detailed ambitiously, signaling a bright future for this generous nation.” He concluded with prayers for Algeria’s preservation and its leaders’ success in realizing the aspirations of its ambitious people.
