VIENNA – In a significant demonstration of its expanding global economic footprint, Algeria was celebrated as the guest of honor at the opening of the International Exhibition of Healthy Food in Vienna on Tuesday. This prestigious role underscores the success of the national strategy, guided by President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to promote Algerian products on the world stage and diversify the economy.The Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Mr. Kamel Rezig, led the high-level Algerian delegation at the opening ceremony. He was accompanied by prominent figures from Algeria’s economic leadership, including Mr. Kamel Moula, President of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council, Mr. Larbi Latrouche, Algeria’s Ambassador to Austria, and Mr. Karim Boukadoum, the Director General of the “SAFEX” Group.During a tour of the Algerian pavilion, Minister Rezig met with participating national economic operators and lauded the exceptional quality and diversity of their products. He praised the highly competitive level achieved by Algerian companies in the food sector, a direct result of the government’s supportive economic policies. The Minister stressed that such international events are crucial platforms for promoting the national product and forging pathways into new foreign markets.This participation, which continues until Thursday, is a core component of President Tebboune’s directives to bolster Algeria’s presence at major international forums. It serves as an effective tool for accessing foreign markets and diversifying trade partnerships, reinforcing the nation’s dynamic push towards a robust, self-sufficient, and export-oriented economy
