Competition Categories
The festival organizers have announced four different competition categories:
- Professional Author Competition (international scope)
- Best Comic Strip Project Competition (over 16 years old)
- Best Youth Comic Strip Competition (under 16 years old)
- Best Comic Strip Magazine Competition (international scope)
Participation and Eligibility
Most competition categories target Algerian participants according to the age groups specified for each competition, with the exception of the Professional Author Competition and Best Comic Strip Magazine Competition, which have an international dimension1. The International Comic Strip Festival (FIBDA), established in 2008, is organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Arts1. The festival aims to encourage and revive Algerian ninth art by promoting the works of its artists and creators, according to its organizers.
