Algeria’s International Comic Strip Festival (FIBDA 2025) has announced the opening of registrations for its international and national competitions for the 17th edition, scheduled to take place from October 1-5, 2025, under the theme “Children’s Edition”1.
Competition Categories

- Professional Author Competition (international scope)
- Best Comic Strip Project Competition (over 16 years old)
- Best Youth Comic Strip Competition (under 16 years old)
- Best Comic Strip Magazine Competition (international scope)

The International Comic Strip Festival (FIBDA), established in 2008, is organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Arts1. The festival aims to encourage and revive Algerian ninth art by promoting the works of its artists and creators, according to its organizers.
