Algeria Launches Local Truck Parts Production with New Industrial Partnership

By Nor Eleslam

Algiers – A new partnership was signed on Sunday between “Cosider Alram” and the Algerian-Chinese company “Algeria FAW Trucks Industries,” aiming to locally produce truck and industrial vehicle spare parts. The agreement, inked by Cosider Alram CEO Nadhir Ben Moussa and FAW Trucks CEO Mohamed Noufel Telaïli, was attended by Industry Minister Sifi Ghrib, Water Resources Minister Taha Derbal, and Cosider Group CEO Hamid Khemliche. Initially, the parts will supply Cosider Alram’s fleet, with plans to expand to the national market. The collaboration targets the production of truck body structures and selected spare parts to boost Algeria’s subcontracting capabilities, enrich its industrial network, and support technology transfer. The deal reflects President Tebboune’s vision of revitalizing the industrial sector and aligns with Algeria’s broader strategy to increase local integration in vehicle manufacturing. Cosider Alram specializes in heavy equipment maintenance, renewal, and spare part production, while FAW Trucks is constructing a truck manufacturing plant in Djelfa in partnership with the Chinese FAW Group.
