Algeria and Hungary Prepare for Fourth Joint Economic Committee Meeting

Algeria and Hungary are intensifying preparations for the fourth session of the Algerian-Hungarian Joint Economic Committee, scheduled to take place in December 2025 in Algiers. The meeting is expected to provide a fresh boost to bilateral cooperation and open new avenues for investment.

Algeria’s Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries, Yacine Mahdi Oulid, received the Hungarian Ambassador to Algeria, Gábor Levente Sárközy, at the ministry headquarters to discuss organizational and strategic aspects of the upcoming session.

According to the ministry’s statement, the committee meeting will serve as a platform to strengthen partnerships based on the “win-win” principle, encouraging business leaders from both countries to engage in joint ventures and investment opportunities.

Both sides also agreed to revive and update several cooperation agreements previously signed, while proposing new collaborative programs. Areas of focus include innovation, aquaculture, forestry, and scientific research, reflecting the shared interests and complementary strengths of Algeria and Hungary.
