Gaza – The Media Office in the Gaza Strip confirmed that the level of destruction caused by the Zionist occupation has reached 90% after two years of continuous genocide against the Palestinian people.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, the office reported that the occupation forces have destroyed or rendered inoperative 38 hospitals and taken control of nearly 80% of the territory of the Strip through relentless bombardment and forced displacement. More than 200,000 tons of explosives were dropped, and 95% of Gaza’s schools were damaged due to the ongoing airstrikes.
The statement further revealed that 2,700 families have been completely erased from the civil registry, while more than 12,000 miscarriages have been recorded among pregnant women as a result of malnutrition and lack of medical care. Additionally, 460 Palestinians have died from hunger and severe malnutrition.
The spokesperson for Gaza’s Civil Defense, Mahmoud Basal, stated that the Zionist attacks continue despite the announcement of U.S. President Donald Trump’s ceasefire plan. He added that rescue teams are still unable to retrieve the bodies of many martyrs from areas occupied by enemy forces.
On September 29, President Trump announced a 20-point plan, which included the release of the occupation’s prisoners held in Gaza and a ceasefire. The Hamas movement confirmed that it had submitted its response to mediators, agreeing to release all captives—both alive and deceased—while leaving several key political issues for subsequent national dialogue and consensus.
Since October 7, 2023, the Zionist entity has been committing a genocidal war in Gaza that includes systematic killing, starvation, destruction, mass displacement, and arrests, all in defiance of international appeals and rulings by the International Court of Justice demanding an end to the atrocities.
This ongoing genocide has left over 236,000 Palestinians dead or wounded—most of them children and women—with more than 11,000 missing. Hundreds of thousands have been forced from their homes, facing famine that continues to claim lives, especially among children. Nearly all of Gaza’s urban areas have been devastated, erased from the map in a campaign of extermination that exposes the brutality of the Zionist occupation and its disregard for international law—while Algeria stands firm in its historic position of solidarity with the Palestinian cause and all oppressed peoples, including the Sahrawi people’s struggle for freedom and independence.
