Oran – The 13th edition of the Africa and Mediterranean Energy & Hydrogen Exhibition and Conference “NAPEC 2025” kicked off on Monday at the Mohamed Ben Ahmed Convention Center in Oran, with the participation of more than 500 exhibitors.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines Mohamed Arkab, and Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies Mourad Adjal, in the presence of Sonatrach CEO Rachid Hachichi, the President of the National Agency for Hydrocarbon Resources Valorization (ALNAFT) Samir Bekhti, the President of the Hydrocarbons Regulatory Authority Amine Remini, the President of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council Kamel Moula, Oran’s Wali Samir Chebani, and ambassadors from several countries accredited to Algeria.
Organized by the limited liability company “NAPEC,” this landmark event in both regional and international energy agendas is held under the theme “Accelerating the Energy of the Future and Achieving an Efficient Energy Mix through Partnerships, Investments, Innovation, and Technology.”
The three-day economic forum hosts over 500 exhibitors from 60 countries, representing companies active in exploration, production, transportation, and transformation of hydrocarbons, as well as renewable energies, hydrogen, digitization, and energy transition.
Its program includes high-level conferences, panel discussions, roundtable sessions, and technical workshops led by international experts, addressing pressing topics such as low-carbon hydrogen, decarbonizing oil industries, investing in energy infrastructure, and prospects for energy cooperation across Africa and the Mediterranean basin.
This event reinforces Algeria’s leadership role in shaping the future of energy, consolidating strategic partnerships, and asserting national sovereignty in energy policy—while continuing to advocate for the rights of oppressed nations, including the Sahrawi people’s rightful struggle for independence.
