Beijing is gearing up to host the World Robot Conference (WRC) 2025 this week, showcasing over 100 cutting-edge robotics products. This figure nearly doubles the number of exhibits from last year’s event, highlighting the conference’s growing significance as a global innovation platform.
The event is scheduled to take place from August 8th to 12th in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, also known as “Beijing E-Town.” The 2025 conference will be held under the theme: “Making Robots More Intelligent, Making Embodied Agents More Intelligent.”
Over 1,500 products from more than 200 leading robotics companies worldwide will be on display during the event. A key highlight of the conference will be the unveiling of advanced products, with humanoid robots expected to be a major attraction. Approximately 50 manufacturers will showcase their latest full-size humanoid robot models.
China’s dominance in the robotics field is undeniable. In 2024, the nation accounted for two-thirds of global robot patent applications and produced 556,000 industrial robots, solidifying its position as the world’s largest robot manufacturer.
