ETUSA Expands Algiers Transport Network for 2026-2027

The Public Urban and Suburban Transport Establishment of Algiers (ETUSA) announced a reinforcement of its public transport program in the capital for the upcoming 2026-2027 social season. This initiative, scheduled to commence on Sunday, September 20, 2026, follows directives issued by Saïd Sayoud, the Minister of Interior, Local Collectivities, and Transport. The announcement was made public via ETUSA's official Facebook page, detailing a comprehensive plan to enhance urban mobility.

As part of this expanded program, ETUSA has mobilized its full range of human and material resources to boost operational capacity. The measures include an increase in the number of buses in circulation, designed to ensure smooth and secure service across all lines. The new service schedule will feature extensive coverage, comprising 222 day lines operating throughout Algiers and its surrounding areas, from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

Complementing the day services, ETUSA will also introduce a dedicated night service, consisting of 23 distinct lines. These nocturnal routes will begin their first departures at 7:00 PM, with the final buses departing at midnight, providing extended public transport options. This significant strengthening of ETUSA's transport network in Algiers is intended to ensure a seamless and efficient social season for all users, improving accessibility and convenience for residents.
