Algerian Ambassador to Rome Abdelkrim Touhari and Consul General Chouki Chami inaugurated the Algerian Consulate General in Naples on Thursday, July 27, 2023. The consulate is located at 12 Via Roma, Naples, Italy.

The opening of the consulate was a decision by Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who met with members of the Algerian community in Italy in May 2022. Tebboune instructed that the consulate be opened to improve services to Algerians living in Italy.

The consulate will provide a range of services to Algerians living in the Naples area, including passport renewal, visa issuance, and notarization. The consulate will also provide information about Algerian government services and programs.

Chami said that he was committed to providing high-quality consular services to Algerians in Italy. He also said that the consulate would be a space for Algerians to come together and strengthen their ties to their homeland.

The opening of the consulate is a sign of the importance that the Algerian government places on its diaspora. The consulate will provide Algerians living in Italy with a closer connection to their government and country.
