The Secretary General of the National Democratic Rally (RND), Mounther Boudhen, has stated that his party will not accept the sons of the People’s National Army paying with their lives again as a result of fabricated crises originating from abroad.
During a public gathering in Jijel Province, Boudhen clarified that the RND rejects all extremist ideologies, even the seemingly minor ones, that attempt to drag Algeria backward. He emphasized that Algerians are firmly committed to their identity.
He also urged those who hold such ideologies to keep them within the borders of their own countries.
Speaking about the crises that Algeria has endured, implicitly referencing the Black Decade, Boudhen attributed responsibility to the recklessness of certain politicians at the time and the negligence of others. He argued that this allowed extremist ideas to infiltrate the country.
“Political recklessness created an environment where extremist elements could take root and exploit vulnerabilities within Algerian society,” Boudhen stated.
He also acknowledged that many of those involved were also victims of that period.
“The RND remains committed to safeguarding Algeria from any resurgence of extremism and will work tirelessly to promote a secure and prosperous future for all Algerians,” Boudhen concluded.
