Doha, Qatar – Algerian international striker Amine Gouiri has commenced his rehabilitation program at the Aspetar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital in Doha, Qatar, following successful shoulder surgery.
The Olympique de Marseille forward sustained a significant shoulder injury during the Algerian national team’s training camp last October. The injury occurred during a collision with the Ugandan goalkeeper during a World Cup 2026 qualifying match.
Following consultations with his club, Gouiri opted to undergo surgery to fully address the injury, a decision that unfortunately ruled him out of contention for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations. The recovery period is expected to last approximately three months.
Aspetar has released images of Gouiri undergoing his rehabilitation program, confirming that his treatment is progressing positively. The renowned sports medicine facility is providing Gouiri with state-of-the-art care and support as he works towards a full recovery.
DZWatch will continue to monitor Gouiri’s progress and provide updates as they become available. The Algerian football community is eagerly anticipating his return to the pitch.
