A wave of settler violence swept across the West Bank on Tuesday evening, targeting several Palestinian areas and resulting in injuries, arrests, and extensive property damage. The attacks coincided with continued incursions by settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
In Tulkarm, located in the northwestern West Bank, a large group of settlers launched a coordinated assault on the industrial zone east of the city, near Beit Lid. The attack resulted in significant fires and injuries to several Palestinians. Local sources reported that settlers set fire to multiple vehicles within the industrial zone, known as al-Lada’in, including four trucks belonging to a dairy factory. The factory itself sustained considerable damage.
The assault also targeted agricultural lands and makeshift dwellings, including tin shacks and tents housing Bedouin families. Settlers pelted residents with stones, wounding at least two individuals in the head. Eyewitnesses stated that Israeli forces arrived on the scene and provided protection to the attacking settlers, while Palestinian civil defense teams struggled to extinguish the blazes.
Elsewhere in the West Bank, Israeli forces raided the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, deploying throughout the al-Safha area after entering from the main northern entrance. In Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, a Palestinian activist was arrested after settlers invaded the village of Umm al-Khair, releasing their livestock onto Palestinian-owned land and causing widespread damage to crops.
In a separate incident, a Palestinian woman from Hebron sustained bruises and contusions after being detained and assaulted by Israeli forces at the entrance to the al-Fawwar refugee camp. She was later released and transported to Dura Governmental Hospital. In Tubas, Israeli military vehicles entered the city, deploying soldiers on foot and disrupting traffic flow. Local media reported that Palestinians threw a homemade grenade at Israeli forces in the town of Aqaba, northeast of Tubas. A Palestinian was also reportedly wounded by gunfire during clashes with soldiers.
These incidents follow the recent death of a Palestinian child, Aysam Moalla, from the town of Beita, south of Nablus, who succumbed to injuries sustained from inhaling tear gas fired by Israeli forces.
