The Palestinian Ministry of Health has reported a significant increase in casualties in the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing conflict. As of Wednesday, the total number of fatalities has reached 73,041, with an additional 173,402 individuals sustaining injuries since the escalation began on October 7, 2023.

Hospitals within the Gaza Strip received two fatalities and 14 injuries in the past 24 hours, according to health authorities cited by the Palestinian news agency Wafa. This brings the total number of martyrs since the last ceasefire on October 11 to 1,029, and the total injured to 3,294. Additionally, 785 bodies have been recovered.
Health officials noted that a number of victims remain trapped under rubble, with rescue and ambulance teams unable to reach them due to the difficult conditions on the ground. The full extent of the casualties may still be higher as search and rescue operations continue.
