Oran law enforcement has successfully apprehended two individuals involved in drug trafficking and seized a significant quantity of cannabis. The operation, conducted by the Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI) of the Oran State Police, resulted in the confiscation of nearly 19 kilograms of processed cannabis.
The arrests and seizure followed a targeted investigation based on credible intelligence indicating that one of the suspects was storing a substantial amount of narcotics. After verifying the information, investigators identified the suspect and the location where the illicit substances were hidden.
In coordination with the Public Prosecutor at the Arzew Court, a legal search warrant was executed at the suspect’s residence. The search led to the discovery of 18 kilograms and 650 grams of processed cannabis. Authorities also recovered a motorcycle allegedly used in the distribution of the drugs.
