Hamas Condemns Arson Attack on West Bank Mosque

West Bank: The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has strongly condemned the arson attack on a mosque in the occupied West Bank. The group described the incident as a “heinous crime and a blatant assault on the feelings of Muslims and freedom of worship.”

According to a statement released by Hamas, the arson targeted the “Hajja Hamida” mosque, situated between the towns of Kafr Haris and Deir Istiya, northwest of Salfit. Hamas asserted that this act “reveals once again the level of sadism and racism of the occupation against the Palestinian people and their Islamic holy sites.”

Hamas emphasized that the escalating crimes committed by what it described as “terrorist settlers” against Palestinian land, people, and holy sites are carried out with the full support and patronage of the Zionist occupier. The movement believes this is a “desperate attempt to impose a fait accompli in the occupied Palestinian territories and change its features and the facts of history.”

The group called for “decisive international action to restrain this rogue entity that violates all international laws and norms.” Hamas argues that the international community must hold the perpetrators accountable for their actions and prevent further desecration of religious sites.

The incident has heightened tensions in the region and sparked outrage among Palestinians. Further details are emerging as investigations continue.
