Ministers Visit Youth Projects Expo, Promote Innovation

Sidi Abdellah, Algeria – The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamal Badari, and the Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Sid Ali Zerrouki, jointly visited an exhibition showcasing youth-led projects at the “Abdelhafid Ihadden” technology hub in Sidi Abdellah. The visit underscores the government’s commitment to supporting young talent and fostering innovation.

The exhibition prominently featured projects from the first graduating class of the National Higher School of Artificial Intelligence and the National Higher School of Mathematics. The ministers toured the various pavilions, engaging with students and examining their projects, which demonstrated a high level of creativity and technical proficiency.

During discussions with the students, both ministers emphasized the importance of leveraging these innovations to develop practical solutions that contribute to the advancement of vital sectors. They stressed the need to provide comprehensive support to graduates as they enter the entrepreneurial world, opening up broad career prospects for them.

“These young minds hold the key to Algeria’s future technological advancements,” stated Minister Badari during the visit. “Our role is to facilitate their transition from academia to successful entrepreneurship.”

Minister Zerrouki added, “The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications is committed to providing the necessary infrastructure and support for these innovative projects to thrive and contribute to the digital transformation of Algeria.”

This initiative aims to strengthen the connection between educational institutions and the technology sector, nurturing a new generation of skilled individuals capable of contributing to a knowledge-based economy driven by innovation. The government hopes this will encourage more students to pursue careers in STEM fields and contribute to Algeria’s growing tech industry.
