Algiers, November 15, 2025 – The 13th session of the Algerian-Vietnamese Joint Commission commenced today in Algiers and is scheduled to continue until Thursday. The meeting aims to bolster economic and industrial cooperation between the two nations.
According to a statement released by the Ministry of Industry on Saturday, this session underscores the commitment of both Algeria and Vietnam to strengthening their bilateral relationship. The commission will focus on identifying new opportunities for collaboration and addressing existing challenges to trade and investment.
In preparation for the Joint Commission meeting, Nguyen Tuong Van, Deputy Minister of Construction of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, arrived in Algiers this morning. He and his accompanying delegation were received at Houari Boumediene International Airport by Khair Eddine Ben Aissa, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Industry.
This visit highlights the proactive efforts of both countries to enhance economic and industrial partnerships, and to intensify coordination in anticipation of this significant bilateral event. Discussions are expected to cover a wide range of sectors, including construction, manufacturing, agriculture, and energy.
