President Tebboune Meets African Development Bank Group Head

Algiers, Algeria – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received the President of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB), Sidi Ould Tah, earlier today at the Presidential Palace.

The meeting, focused on strengthening cooperation and exploring new avenues for investment in Algeria, saw discussions on key developmental projects and the AfDB’s role in supporting Algeria’s economic diversification efforts. The President reiterated Algeria’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships with African institutions to achieve sustainable growth and development across the continent.

According to a statement released by the Presidency, the meeting was attended by Boualem Boualem, Director of the Presidential Cabinet, Minister of Finance Abderrahmane Raouya, and Ali Bouharaoua, Algeria’s representative to the African Development Bank Group.

The discussions highlighted the importance of infrastructure development, renewable energy initiatives, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Algeria. The AfDB has been a key partner in Algeria’s development agenda, providing financial and technical assistance for various projects aimed at improving the country’s infrastructure, boosting economic growth, and creating employment opportunities.
