Gaza – Palestinians displaced from the Shuja’iyya neighborhood are facing increasingly difficult living and humanitarian conditions after the Israeli army designated the area a ‘yellow zone,’ effectively prohibiting their return.
Following the designation, many families sought refuge in the closest possible location to their homes, hoping to eventually return. They erected makeshift shelters in the Shuja’iyya Park, within sight of their properties.
However, reports indicate that the Israeli military is preventing residents from approaching the ‘yellow zone,’ allegedly targeting with live fire anyone attempting to return to their homes within the restricted area. This has created a desperate situation for the displaced families, who are now living in precarious conditions with limited access to essential resources.
The situation underscores the ongoing challenges faced by Palestinian civilians in Gaza, who are caught in the crossfire of the conflict. The restrictions imposed by the Israeli army are exacerbating the already dire humanitarian crisis in the region. The displaced families urgently require assistance, including shelter, food, and medical care.
DZWatch will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
