Two Palestinians Killed as Settler Violence Surges in West Bank

Two young Palestinian men were killed early Friday morning by Israeli forces in Kafr Aqab, north of occupied Jerusalem, amid escalating settler violence across the West Bank. The incidents occurred as Israeli forces conducted raids and incursions into several Palestinian towns and cities.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the deceased as 18-year-old Amr Khaled Ahmed Al-Marbou and 16-year-old Sami Ibrahim Sami Mashayekh. Both succumbed to their wounds after being shot by Israeli forces during a raid on Kafr Aqab.

Reports indicate that Israeli forces stormed Kafr Aqab, deploying patrols throughout the streets and positioning snipers on rooftops. Shots were fired at young men in the town, resulting in the deaths of Al-Marbou and Mashayekh, and injuries to at least one other individual.

Separately, early Friday, Israeli forces reportedly raided several towns in the occupied West Bank. These incursions included the Umm Al-Sharayet neighborhood in Al-Bireh, following an infiltration by a special unit. Raids were also carried out in Arraba, southwest of Jenin, and Beit Ummar, north of Hebron. The Beit Furik checkpoint, east of Nablus, was also closed.

Adding to the tensions, settler attacks have intensified in multiple areas. North of Huwara, south of Nablus, settlers allegedly set fire to a junkyard containing unusable vehicles. Reports suggest the fire engulfed a significant number of vehicles before residents could intervene. Palestinian sources claim over 350 vehicles were damaged in the blaze.

In Qalqilya, settlers reportedly attacked Palestinians in the Al-Wajh Al-Shami area of Kafr Qaddum. Several Palestinians are believed to have been injured during the assault in Khirbet.

DZWatch continues to monitor the situation as tensions remain high across the West Bank. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
