Di Maria Eyes Coaching Career, Names Paredes as Potential Assistant

Argentine star Angel Di Maria, currently playing for Rosario Central, has revealed his ambition to transition into coaching after his retirement from professional football. He has already begun taking steps to acquire the necessary coaching licenses.

In an interview, Di Maria stated that he has even identified his ideal future assistant: his teammate and close friend, Leandro Paredes. He emphasized their shared vision for the game and their strong understanding on the field.

“Our teams will always play with a 4-3-3 formation,” Di Maria explained. “I’ve spoken with Leandro about it before, and his opinion is exactly the same, so there won’t be any problems.”

The Argentinian duo, both winners of the 2022 World Cup, appear to be planning their futures with the same passion they bring to their current careers. Both players have recently returned to their childhood clubs, with Di Maria at Rosario Central and Paredes at Boca Juniors.

Di Maria concluded, “After we retire, we aspire to coach Rosario Central and Boca Juniors. We would be rivals, but that adds extra fun to the whole thing.”
