UNIDO, headquartered in Vienna, is the specialized UN agency tasked with promoting and accelerating sustainable industrial development globally. Its primary focus areas include poverty reduction through industrialization, the development of clean energy, the building of sustainable value chains, technology transfer, human capacity building, and the support of innovation. These efforts align with the Sustainable Development Goals, with a particular emphasis on Goal 9.
