El Oued, Algeria – A major drug trafficking operation has been dismantled in El Oued, resulting in the seizure of 26 vehicles and a significant quantity of illegal substances. The operation, conducted by the regional group of the National Gendarmerie in El Oued, under the Fourth Military Region, led to the arrest of eight individuals suspected of involvement in smuggling activities.
According to a statement released, the operation yielded a staggering 265,900 psychotropic tablets of the Pregabalin type. In addition to the narcotics, authorities also confiscated a substantial sum of money, amounting to 63 million Algerian dinars.
